Goals

I want to run everyday and do a good stretching before and after with situps and pushups and other exercizes that get me all stretched out before and after the run.

I eventually want to be running 5 miles a day @ a sub 6 minute mile pace.

I want to buuy myself new running shoes when I reach 100 miles.

I am going to run in the carlsbad 5000 in 2007.  My goal is to run it in under 19 minutes. Hopefull I can do much better but I'll re-evaluate the goal as time goes on.

I have to keep reminding myself that it's not about the weight for me.  135 @ age 19, being 5'5 and skinny bone structure, that is pretty much a good #.  Since I've been 115 since 7th grade and just over the winter gained 20 lbs, it's been strange to feel 20 lbs heavier. but if I were healthy and exercizing i would probably not notice at all.

So there it is. the goals, and everything

I like the idea of rewarding yourself when you reach small goals.
That’s great!

Thanks Kristin! I have the reward there because I know that if I run for a month consistantly, it will become a habit and then I will actually need the new shoes, vs. buying new shoes and getting discouraged and quitting, and then having wasted $80 on new shoes. =)
